Earth Child Montessori School Ltd. (hereafter known as the school), well established in Richmond, BC in 2001, is a full-day early learning Montessori program designed for infants and children up to 12 years old. The school is a government-licensed and approved group Montessori daycare center. In the past 20 years, the school has been expanding continually. Our campus, which is located at 7780 Alderbridge Way, Richmond, has a capacity of 125 children ranging from ages 0-5 and for after school 25 children ranging from ages 5-12. For providing better education for children, we are seeking a qualified candidate to fill in the new position as an ECE assistant:

Main Duties:
Provide teaching and supporting services for children between 0 to 5 years old.
Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children. Supervise children’s indoors and outdoors activities.
Prepare materials for class use.
Keep documents and children’s records update.
Promote individuals’ independence through encouraging their use of existing skills and abilities and teaching new skills. Implement daily activities that support and promote the children’s development.
Lead activities by reading stories, teaching songs, preparing craft materials and demonstrating their use, taking children to local points of interest. Encourage and support each child, help children develop passion for learning.
Guide and assist to children’s physical needs for dressing, toileting, eating and sleeping in a timely manner.
Prepare snacks, arrange room for lunch, and nap time. Prepare outdoor area or indoor gym for children to play safely.
Establish and maintain positive daily communication and interaction with co-workers. Participate in parents’ meetings, field trips and other school events. Feedback to supervisors.

Employment Requirements:

· Completion of a college program
· ECEA License to Practice in BC is required.
· Montessori Training (preferred but not necessary)
· Completion of Criminal Record Check
· Childcare First Aid certificate
· Work experience in the childcare field is an asset.
· Food Safe Certificate is an asset
· Special Needs certificate is an asset (preferred but not necessary)
